The Uwem-Ima Foundation is a charity established with the vision to improve the quality of lives of individuals and communities, focusing on the Oro individual and community.

Rooted in a passion for the positive and sustainable upliftment of lives and with the belief everyone is equal, only set apart by unequal access to opportunities, The Uwem-Ima Foundation helps individuals access life-transforming opportunities that will not only impact the individual but transcend to families and the community at large.

We strive to better lives through initiatives and projects that address fundamental needs, ensure equal access to opportunities, and mitigate economic hardship. From education, skill development, and financial investments to community development, we aim to impart on lives and communities.

Our mission

We aim to execute programs and projects that impart on individuals academically, financially, in skill acquisition and development, to improve the quality of life of individuals and better their lives, with a focus on the Oro Indigenes of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

Our vision

To break the generational cycle of poverty and illiteracy prevalent in Oro families, using education, capital investment, and skill development as a tool, thereby repositioning the Oro people to realize their full potential and attain success.

We want a society where all humans are empowered to achieve their goals by creating sustainable solutions that uplift and enrich lives and bridge the gap of inequalities in accessing opportunities, thereby ensuring everyone has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.

We hope to create a ripple effect of positive change that will transcend the Oro people and as such, foster a dignified and empowered Oro community.
